Now, Apple has officially announced WWDC 2020 and it will be going digital. That means the WWDC 2020 will be streaming online only. Apple made this known via an official press release recently.
For the first time ever, Apple instead of having an event will be holding an online WWDC (worldwide developer Conference) coming off the CoronaVirus outbreak.
Apple has been really proactive about the coronavirus outbreak that they’ve actually been limiting try-ons of Air Pods or Apple watch bands at various Apple sessions. At the WWDC 2020, we may be expecting to see Apple’s upcoming MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with a butterfly keyboard according to Ming-Chi Kuo.
Apple was earlier rumored to be organizing an event this March but obviously will not be held due to the outbreak.
Rumours have it that the intended event was to unveil Apple’s latest products likely including the upcoming iPhone SE 2 supposedly has also been delayed indefinitely. Although, reports claim that the SE 2 (iPhone 9), a new iPad Pro, Apple over-ear headphones, iMac refresh and more.
But the event is now definitely not going to be happening.
According to Jon Prosser, a tech analyst and the leak master behind @frontpagetech tweeted that the rumored event is not going to be happening. But regardless of the cancellation, products may still be announced or released.
Although, it is believed that the SE 2 might still be launched as a press release later this month but details of this are unclear right now.
